Architecture and integration

How IKNAL connects with what you already have.

IKNAL Gateway installs on your plant network, reads your equipment and delivers every value to the systems you already use, on site or in your cloud. On every sheet, every box states its input, its output, the protocol and the physical medium.

01Reference sheet

From instrument to your systems, with no risk to the process.

The Gateway reads the field equipment and publishes over OPC UA and MQTT. Your SCADA, your historian or your broker receive the values; the field equipment never receives orders through the Gateway.

02Integration patterns

Three ways to connect a site.

D-01

Plant network

The Gateway and your SCADA on the same network, with no internet. Your SCADA reads the values from the Gateway's OPC UA server, with a trusted certificate.

D-02

Unified namespace

The Gateway publishes every value to your MQTT broker, as JSON or Sparkplug B, for your historian, your MES or your analytics.

D-03

Remote sites

At wells, pumping stations or distant stations, the Gateway publishes to your control centre over a link that only leaves the site. If the link drops, the values wait on the computer.

03Data flow

One value, from sensor to evidence.

  1. 01

    Measure

The transmitter delivers its signal to the flow computer, the meter or the PLC: 4-20 mA HART, pulses or discrete.

  2. 02

    Read

IKNAL Gateway reads the device over its protocol and gives every value its quality and its timestamp.

  3. 03

    Publish

The Gateway publishes over OPC UA, MQTT or Sparkplug B. If the destination does not answer, the value waits on the computer.

  4. 04

    Supervise

IKNAL SCADA evaluates limits and ISA-18.2 alarms and shows every value with its quality.

  5. 05

    Historise

IKNAL Historian keeps every value with its quality and summarises it per minute and per hour.

  6. 06

    Prove

IKNAL Medición and IKNAL Cumplimiento turn the data into records, reports and traceable evidence.

05Integration with what you already have

IKNAL does not make you change your SCADA or your historian.

With your SCADA or historian

The Gateway publishes over OPC UA, MQTT and Sparkplug B: any client or broker that speaks those standards receives your values.

From another communications server

Bring your tags over from KEPServerEX, checked row by row with a preview of the changes before they are applied.

With your systems

Scheduled reports by email and webhook from IKNAL SCADA.

Next step

Let's look at your operation with your own equipment.

Tell us what you have in the field and what you need to see. We will prepare a demo around a case like yours and, if we move forward, a written proposal.
